Ugandan Projects
Mukono Children's Home is a government owned institution, by which the Department of Welfare in Uganda identify children through referrals, and after investigating different options some children are sent to the home if there is nowhere else for them to be - The children come from many different backgrounds, most are orphaned due to Malaria/AIDs.
Mukono Health Centre was started in 1929 by white missionaries. It offers 24hr service of; Outpatient/Inpatient, Dentistry, Counselling (Mon-Fri), Maternity, Laboratory, Beds (8 female, 9 male, 15 childrens, 13 maternity), and an AIDs Clinic.
You must spend a minimum of 2 weeks in a project area - you may mix-and-match if staying for 4+ weeks
Placements costs:
£250 for 2 weeks
£300 per 4 weeks

There is also the opportunity to organise or be involved in additional weekend/evening activities within the community, for example football tournaments, drama workshops and sports days, however this is not compulsory.
We are constantly prioritising what needs to be done in each area so we can provide aid to areas most in need.
