EXPERIENCE CULTURE FUNDRAISER BALL 2010
Experience Culture is a non-profit social enterprise which provides people of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to have an active part in helping develop a local community. We aim our projects at people who have travelled previously and who are seeking an independent experience.
As well as genertaing money through our volunteer programme, Experience Culture accepts donations and organises fundraisers to raise money for our projects in Uganda. Experience Culture makes it possible to see exactly what your money has done for the local people and how it has helped them and their community. We encourage our volunteers and donors to choose what their money is used for, this therefore enables us to develop the community in a variety of ways.
For the Mukono community in Uganda, Experience Culture aims to;
* Improve medical facilities at Mukono Health Centre
* Improve the standard of healthcare for the Mukono community
* Improve facilities at Mukono Childrens Home and it's Primary School
* Provide the rural community with mosquito nets
* Sponsor children at Mukono Childrens Home (living at the home and attending school)
For our volunteers, Experience Culture aims to;
* Provide a placement where you can make a difference in the local community
* Give you the opportunity to experience life as a local
* Give you the opportunity to make a difference in a way that is personal to you, your skills and interests
* Constantly prioritise/re-evaluate projects so we are always focusing on the areas in most need
* Provide a safe and welcoming base for project work
* Provide advice and guidance before and during project work, where possible
You can either;
1. Make a donation by simply writing a cheque and either choosing what your money should be spent on from our wishlist section or allow us to choose on your behalf.
2. For the more adventurous, you can take part in one of our projects in the Mukono area of Uganda

Experience Culture provides a base and network for an independent travel experience. We expect volunteers to be mature, capable, and to take an active part in their work and the local lifestyle
